Leadership ability is the lid that determines a person’s level of effectiveness. A desire for understanding and learning is key to us lifting the lid on our leadership. Unless we constantly pour ourselves into God’s Word and allow him to show us the flaws in our leadership, we will never break through the glass ceiling that often times is put on us by this world. Personal Story: Several years ago, I worked for a summer camp for children and every Sunday afternoon, right before the new camp kids arrived, our director would have us recite these words aloud, “I live in a glass house, everything I do and everything I say will be repeated thousands and thousands of times”. Unless we allow God to change us from the inside out, we will never acheive all that he wants for us. Lets allow Christ’s actions and Christ’s words to flow out of us.

Hello to all and thank you for visiting the official Discovery Church Leadership Blog! My name is Stephen Watkins and I work in the Creative Arts Department at the church. I would like to start the blogging off with a daily Maxwell Law of Leadership. John Maxwell is a renouned leadership expert and is a great resource for any leader who is looking to broader their sphere of influence through hard work, determination and a humble heart. These laws have transformed my leadership and stand as a constant reminder of the areas that I need to develop and improve upon as a leader. I hope you enjoy this blog and all that the leadership at Discovery Church has to offer in their experience, passion and meekness. Enjoy!
